Just 3 years remain for the much-anticipated 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Now, the Scotland board has claimed that they have been in discussions with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to represent a unified British team for the LA 2028 Olympics.
After a span of 128 years, cricket is set to make a comeback into the Olympics. The last time cricket was a part of the Olympics was way back in 1900. But now in the 2028 LA Olympics, the game will be played in the T20 format.

Previously, the IOC went on to clarify that cricket would be played by both the men's and women's teams, and only 6 teams will participate in the tournament.
Combined British Team in LA 2028 Olympics?
"We have a really good working relationship with the ECB, so we have been in talks with them and are in the process of establishing a Team GB cricket entity," Cricket Scotland chief executive Trudy Lindblade told the BBC.
As things stand, both England and Scotland take part individually in both men's and women's categories separately. However, in LA28 a combined British team can make an appearance.
"That's what's required by the British Olympic Association (BOA) for a British team to compete at the Olympic Games. So it's really interesting - with six teams in the competition, we would have an opportunity through the GB concept. So, exciting times, and we'll continue to liaise with the ECB and our colleagues at LA28 and the ICC. It will be interesting."
“With England and Wales also set to host World Cups in 2026 and 2030, LA 2028 presents another great chance to grow the game and inspire new audiences,” a spokesperson told ESPNcricinfo.
