Hardik Pandya Sends Abhishek Sharma Back To The Dugout

Just like in every other game, the opening pair of Abhishek Sharma (40 runs off 28 balls) and Travis Head (15 runs off 17 balls) got Hyderabad off to a flier. The pair added an opening stand of 59 runs and in the eighth over MI skipper Hardik Pandya dismissed him in the eighth over.

Both batters had some lucky escapes in the first two overs as they rode their luck. However, the luck finally ran out in the 8th over. After dismissing Abhishek, Hardik came close to dismissing Head as well.

Head started off relatively slower as compared to his opening partner. Meanwhile, to back up Abhishek's knock, the BCCI also announced him among a group of new players who will be given their maiden central contracts by the BCCI. Abhishek's dismissal brought Ishan Kishan out to the middle. However, his stay was short as he was stumped by Ryan Rickelton off Will Jacks after scoring two runs off two balls.

Two quick wickets made Travis Head a bit more cautious of his strokeplay. He did not get too much of the strike while Abhishek was playing his shots and is now slowly getting into his innings. He also got a life in the 10th over by Hardik Pandya who dismissed him off a no-ball. SRH after 10 overs have posted 75/2. Will Jacks (12 runs off 2 overs) and Hardik Pandya picked (10 runs off 1 over) up a wicket each. Jasprit Bumrah (10 runs off two overs), Trent Boult (10 runs off 1 over) and Deepak Chahar (26 runs off 3 overs) are yet to pick up wickets.
