MS Dhoni Cuts 44th Birthday Cake, Video Goes Viral

A short video of MS Dhoni’s birthday celebration quickly went viral on social media. It showed Dhoni in a casual sleeveless shirt standing with a few close friends and his well-wishers. He smiled and chatted with those around him, and before cutting the cake, politely asked, "Kaat dein?" (Shall I cut it?).

After cutting the cake, he fed a piece to his friends, who then proceed to share the cake with Dhoni.

In a long career that included 538 matches for India, Dhoni scored 17,266 runs and was involved in 829 dismissals as a wicket-keeper.

Dhoni is the only captain in the world to win all three ICC white-ball trophies, the 2007 T20 World Cup, the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2013 Champions Trophy. He retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, but still plays for CSK in the IPL.

MS Dhoni’s IPL Future 

In the IPL 2025, Dhoni returned as captain of Chennai Super Kings after Ruturaj Gaikwad got injured. CSK finished last on the points table for the first time in history.

There has been a lot of talk about whether he will retire before the next season. But Dhoni said he has not made any decision yet, which gives fans hope that he might return in 2026
