Imran Siddiqui, a sports journalist at Dawn News in Pakistan, revealed the reason behind Williamson's delay in linking up with his PSL franchise. In a video on his official Twitter handle, Imran revealed that Williamson had already informed the PSL franchise after being picked in the draft that he would join the team late. Many people have tried to link Williamson's absence in the PSL to his commentary stint at IPL 2025. However, Imran has quashed all such reports.
