The remaining Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season is expected to resume in Pakistan later this week, as per reports in ESPNCricinfo. The league was postponed after UAE denied hosting the remaining PSL games amid India-Pakistan conflict.
The PSL 2025 season was cancelled on the back of India-Pakistan cross-border tensions. 8 more matches are remaining in the ongoing PSL season. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the franchise owners are keen to complete the remaining games as soon as possible.
The board discussed with the franchise owners over the possible date and venues for the resumption of the tournament.

Overseas Players Not Interested In Returning To PSL
One of the major issues for PCB is the availability of the overseas players. Many of the overseas players have returned back or are on their way on the back of this political problem between India and Pakistan. Kiwi all-rounder Daryl Mitchell has said that he won't go back to play in Pakistan ever. Meanwhile, Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hossain narrated the tension on the faces of the overseas players amid this political turmoil. The PCB is looking to prepare a replacement draft to address the issue. However, getting quality players for the remaining league remains a problem.
In another major issue, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is unlikely to host the remaining games of the season as the venue was hit by a drone attack in the recent warfare. There is no official update from the PCB on the remaining season, but the PSL officials have reportedly started logistical preparations.
The Emirates Cricket Board had previously denied hosting the remaining PSL 2025 matches given the recent scenario. The board also came up with an official statement.

“The last 24 hours have seen a worsening of the situation. The decision to postpone has been taken pursuant to advice received from the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif.
