Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli is back in the news once again. He has been battling health and financial issues in the recent past. Once hailed as a great talent in Indian cricket, the southpaw is currently going through a tough phase in his life.
Seeing the former Indian cricketer struggle, Sachin Tendulkar came forward to help him. A few former Indian cricketers came forward to help him as well. As per recent reports, he is in a much better condition at the moment.
Not very long ago, Kambli came into the news due to his deteriorating health condition. A video of him struggling to stand went viral on social media.

Meanwhile, as per reports in Times Now, former Indian skipper and legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar has now promised to help him financially as well. The report further said that Gavaskar's foundation, named the CHAMPS Foundation, will be providing a monthly sum of Rs 30,000 to Kambli, along with annual medical support of Rs 30,000.
Vinod Kambli and Sunil Gavaskar recently met each other at the 50th-anniversary celebrations of the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
In a major update, Kambli's wife, Andrea Hewitt, revealed that she had filed for a divorce against her husband but decided to withdraw after seeing his helpless state.
"He will be helpless if I leave him. He is like a child, and that hurts me. It makes me feel worried. I would not even leave a friend, but he is more than that. I remember there were moments when I would just walk away. But then I would be worried: Has he eaten or not? Is he on the bed properly? Is he okay? Then I had to check on him, and I would understand that he needed me," she said to freelance journalist Suryanshi Pandey.
Speaking about Sunil Gavaskar, he is currently on the Star Sports commentary panel for IPL 2025.
