After Craigmore Cricket Club, he also joined the Tea Tree Gully Cricket Club at age 10 and quickly rose through the ranks to play senior cricket by age 14. He was coached by Darren Barry, who played a key role in his early career, helping him hone his skills and offer him support. It was clear that the lad was talented.
