IPL 2025 - Points Table

The Indian Premier League 2025 (IPL 2025) is living up to its reputation for unpredictability, with the points table reflecting a tightly contested race after 30 matches.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured a dramatic five-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on April 14. The clash was a rollercoaster, with CSK chasing down 167 runs with three balls to spare.

LSG, batting first after MS Dhoni won the toss for CSK and opted to bowl, were powered by Rishabh Pant’s gritty 63 runs off 49 balls. In response, Dhoni’s blistering 26* runs off 11 deliveries sealed a much-needed win for CSK.

With this result, CSK finally broke their five-match losing streak. Although it did not have an impact on the standings, as they continued to be at the bottom, while Gujarat Titans (GT) remained firm at the top.

Here is the updated IPL 2025 points table as of Monday, April 14.

Updated IPL 2025 Points Table After LSG vs CSK

Gujarat Titans remain at the summit with eight points from six matches, with their Net Run Rate (NRR) keeping them ahead. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), also on eight points, hold second and third spots, respectively, with DC’s slightly lower NRR keeping them behind GT. DC has played only five matches as compared to GT’s six.

LSG, despite the loss, stay fourth with eight points after seven games, but their NRR took a hit after failing to defend 166 runs against CSK.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), both on six points, occupy the fifth and sixth places, respectively, while Mumbai Indians (MI), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Chennai Super Kings continue to struggle in the lower half with four points apiece.
